I'd been meaning to take the Shuttle from Derelict Junction (DJ) to Scott Base to peruse their station store for quite some time. Today was the day it happened. Scott Base, the Kiwi Station, is home to our nearest neighbors and just around the corner or over the hill from McMurdo Station.
Of all the interesting buildings I imagined existed in Antarctica, a bus stop was not one of them, but lo and behold, here it is.

Right next to the bus stop is the warming shack (slightly more sheltering than the bus stop in times of high wind). Along with the warming shack is the designated area to knock mud off of one's vehicle. This is imporatant if one is traveling onto the road to Pegasus Airfield as the mud will absorb sunshine and cause the road to melt, which of course would be bad.
In case one happens to forget where one is in Antarctica, a handy continental map with an appropriately sweeping red arrow kindly serves to remind the forgetful.
