A Woman's Place is in Antarctica

You heard that right. Since the early expeditions, women have been a part of life on the Ice.


For the Winter 2010 Season, 25% of the population are women (49 of 198). To celebrate this fact, and to familiarize ourselves with our fellow sisters, a Women of Winter gathering was held at Hut 10.



Cynthia, Cindy, Janette and Cedar enjoy some of what women love best: good food and good conversation.

Women, by design, are natural communicators.
